Here's the skinny: the couple met on June 16, 2002 and started dating. Jonas asked Dohnele to marry him on December 16th of that year. On June 16, 2003 the two were married. On July 5, 2006 Jonas and Dohnele welcomed their daughter, Emma Kate, into the world. Jonas has degrees from Utah State University and the University of Idaho and has work experience with the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Bureau of Land Management, conservation NGOs, and the tourist industry. Dohnele has attended the University of Alaska and is a renowned chef. Her experience ranges from chocolate making, to meal planning and preparation at restaurants, bakeries, and lodges.  The couple have lived in Alaska, Utah, Idaho, Colorado and most recently, Oregon.
